Washing Art away. Ignorance? Apathy?
It is interesting to see how communities react to art. Have you ever heard about Banksy's "Better Out Than In" series in NYC? Building owners were scrambling to paint over the "graffiti" until they realized who it was: they started knocking down their own walls or installing plexi to preserve it for their gain.
This JR Artist installation followed every rule and it was washed away, as the building owner "wanted his wall back, nice and clean".
